The connection to WooCommerce is made with a webhook that you create yourselves in WordPress. No plugin needs to be installed.
Step 1: The address of your WordPress site
- Open Invitations in the dashboard and choose the Automatic tab.
- Choose Connect next to WooCommerce.
- Enter The address of your WordPress site, e.g. shop.com, and choose Continue.
Step 2: Create the webhook
- Choose Approve access. TrustSays only gets access to orders and customers, not to payments or cards.
- You now see the Webhook address and a Secret. The secret is only shown now, so leave the window open.
- Open WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Webhooks, and choose "Add webhook".
- Topic: "Order updated". Status: Active.
- Paste the address into the delivery URL field and the secret into the secret field, and save.
- Choose Continue in TrustSays.
If you've lost the secret, choose Create a new secret and paste the new one into WooCommerce. The old one no longer works.
Step 3: Timing and rules
- When the order is shipped uses the time the order gets the status Completed.
- When the order is delivered can't be selected. WooCommerce doesn't report when the parcel has been delivered, so choose a waiting time that covers the delivery.
- When the order is paid uses the status Processing, which WooCommerce sets when the payment has gone through.
Also choose the waiting time and rules. Read Send invitations automatically.
Step 4: Test and go live
- Choose Send a test invitation to me. The test is sent to your own email and doesn't count towards the quota.
- Choose Go live.
Until you choose Go live, we only count the orders. No invitations are sent, and orders from before don't get one afterwards either.
Good to know
- If the order becomes Cancelled or Refunded before the invitation is sent, it's stopped if Skip returned orders is turned on.
- Orders with the status Pending payment or On hold are ignored.
- Invitations from WooCommerce are sent in Danish.
- WooCommerce sends a test call when the webhook is created. That's completely normal.
