On this page
When a company breaks the guidelines, we can give it a public warning. It's shown on the profile, in search and on the company's card in lists.
The two kinds of warning
- Warning: manipulated reviews. TrustSays has given the company a public warning for fake or manipulated reviews.
- Warning. The company has received a public warning for breaking the guidelines, e.g. by rewarding reviews or only inviting happy customers.
Below the warning on the profile there's a link to how we keep reviews honest.
What does it mean for me as a consumer?
The reviews are still shown, and you can still write a review. The warning tells you to read the reviews with extra care. If the company doesn't have any reviews on TrustSays yet, we never show a score borrowed from another site while it has a warning.
Who gives the warning?
Only experienced staff at TrustSays can give and remove a warning. It's based on an investigation, e.g. of reports and misuse reports. The warning can't be removed by paying, and paying companies follow the same rules.
For companies
- See the guidelines for businesses for what can lead to a warning.
- When the case is resolved and we lift the warning, it disappears from the profile, search and the cards.
- If you have questions about a warning, contact us and we'll help.
If you've seen something that should lead to a warning, report misuse.
