SaysScore is calculated in the same way for all companies. A paid plan, a reply or a label doesn't change it. The only way to a better SaysScore is more and better reviews from real customers.
How SaysScore is calculated
- SaysScore is a weighted average of the stars in the public reviews, with one decimal place.
- Newer reviews count more. A review under 3 months old counts in full, and older ones count gradually less.
- With few reviews, the SaysScore is pulled towards 3.5 until there's enough data.
- A country gets its own SaysScore from 10 reviews from that country.
What works
- Invite all customers. The more people who review, the more accurate the score. See Send invitations automatically.
- Solve the problems. Read the critical reviews and fix what keeps coming up. New reviews weigh most, so improvements show quickly.
- Reply to the reviews. Replies don't change the score, but the profile shows how many negative reviews you reply to, and your typical response time. See Reply to reviews.
- Make it easy to review. Put the stars on your website. See Put the stars on your website.
What you must not do
- Invite only the customers you think are satisfied.
- Give money, gifts or discounts for reviews.
- Write reviews of yourselves or of competitors.
- Pressure customers to change or delete a review.
- Buy reviews.
It can lead to a warning on the profile.
Does a review break the rules?
Then report it in the dashboard. We only remove reviews that break the guidelines, not because they're critical. Read the guidelines for businesses.
